"Nightlife should be a place of access." - Kevin Gotkin

Kevin Gotkin (they/he) was recently interviewed on The Kelly Clarkson Show wearing Prince Peacock alien earrings. 👽

The earrings are laser cut by a local manufacturer in Brooklyn and hand assembled at our store in Ridgewood, Queens!

Kevin is an advocate and the artist-organizer for the organization Creatives Rebuild New York. They are also a curator and DJ named DJ Who Girl. (@who____girl)

They were on the show to talk about accessibility in nightlife spaces that prioritizes the needs of people with disabilities.

He specializes in organizing art and performance events that focuses on accessibility for individuals with disabilities. It all began during COVID with musical and art performances hosted on Zoom. This eventually led to an annual opportunity with The Lincoln Center called "An Evening of Access Magic", which takes place every July in celebration of Disability Pride Month.

"An Evening of Access Magic" is a Silent Disco that provides workshops, ASL song-signing, creative captioning, choreographic offerings, access doula-ing, and of course -- music.

The whole outfit was styled from @domdomdotcom and @tillydwolfe of @versbk.nyc: an accessible collective space for NYC queer designers.
