The Bastille Day celebration of the Fête Nationale Française, commemorating the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789 which birthed the modern French nation, takes place along four blocks of Madison Avenue, on 60th Street from Fifth Avenue to Park Avenue, and in L’Alliance New York’s building.
